Resting at the foot of Mount Meru, the sprawling city of Arusha is known as the safari capital of northern Tanzania. It serves as an excellent base from which to explore the remarkably scenic surrounding area which includes majestic Mount Kilimanjaro, as well as the Manyara, Tarangire and Ngorongoro National Parks. Arusha is a good spot to take a day or two off from the safari circuit as it features a temperate climate and lush surrounds. Visitors can look forward to exploring the wildlife-abundant Serengeti National Park; the magnificent Arusha National Park; and taking on the challenge of climbing Mount Meru, Africa’s fifth highest mountain.

Depart from your home country International airport with international flight and arrive into another International Airport for your transit with connection flight, destination Tanzania, arrive into Kilimanjaro International Airport. you will be met outside customs by AMA Safaris Tanzania our driver guide holding a sign with your names. Then will be escorted to the Four Points by Sheraton Arusha Hotel. Tracing its history to 1894, our landmark property is infused with the spirit of classic safaris from a bygone era. Now managed by Sheraton, it offers every modern comfort including free Wi-Fi.

This small but beautiful Tanzanian National Park is the closest national park to both the famous Arusha “safari town” (40km) as well as the Kilimanjaro International Airport, thus making it ideal for 1- day safari or tour.

DAY 3: LAKE MANYARA KILIMAMOJA LODGE, L. MANYARA NATIONAL PARK
Lake Manyara National Park
Situated in Tanzania’s central-northern region with the Lake Manyara on its east and the Manyara Escarpment to its west, the Lake Manyara National Park offers breathtaking views and a large variety of habitats supporting an array of wildlife. This small park is home to surprising biodiversity and features a magnificent landscape of acacia woodlands, water forests, baobab strewn cliffs, algae-streaked hot springs, swamps and the lake itself. The park supports 400 species of bird, and the largest concentration of baboons anywhere in the world. Other species include giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, impala, waterbuck, warthog, the Cape clawless otter, and Egyptian mongoose. DAY 4: LEMALA NGORONGORO TENTED CAMP, N.CONSERVATION AREA
Ngorongoro Crater
Located in Northern Tanzania, the Ngorongoro Crater is best known for its natural beauty and abundance of diverse wildlife; which makes it one of Africa’s most popular safari destinations. Surrounded by Tanzania’s highlands, this UNESCO-listed crater is said to be the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera. Visitors can look forward to spotting the world-renowned Big Five and a host of other wildlife species including large herds of zebra and wildebeest. It is famed as one of Tanzania’s best tourist attractions offering visitors an array of wonderful activities including excellent bird watching, trekking, wildlife viewing, and mountain biking and visiting a local Maasai village. Don’t miss the opportunity to jump on an excursion to the magnificent Olduvai Gorge.

Pick up hotel lobby, 0800hrs – Big game is just one facet of Africa that will inspire you; this morning’s visit to spend time with students and staff at a school is another, providing memorable insight into the challenges and rewards of life in Tanzania. Continue to Lemala Ngorongoro; perched on the crater’s rim, our luxury safari camp offers your first look at the captivating beauty of the world’s largest intact caldera. After lunch, tear yourself away from the view to visit a Maasai village. This evening, a chief’s son offers his own personal insight into Maasai culture.

Lemala Ngorongoro is intimately set in a delightful ancient acacia forest close to the rim of the magnificent Ngorongoro Crater. As it is located next to the quiet Lemala crater access road on the eastern side, a key advantage of staying at Lemala Ngorongoro is the quick and easy drive down on to the crater floor in the morning; Lemala guests usually have an hour’s head start over others descending via the far busier Seneto crater access road on the western rim. Game drives from camp may start as early as 0615hrs and guests can be down among Ngorongoro’s abundant wildlife on the floor within 10-15 minutes – crucial for photographers who demand the best light conditions. Escorted walks are also available into the forest and along the crater rim with an armed ranger and Maasai guide.
Lemala Ngorongoro Tented Camp has 9 spacious tents that are positioned carefully to provide privacy and with minimal impact on the pristine forest environment. They accommodate two queen-size beds, and as it can get cool on the Ngorongoro Crater rim at night, little luxuries like warm winter-weight duvets, hot water bottles and gas heaters ensure a cosy night’s sleep.

Pick up hotel lobby, 0730hrs with vast expanses of open grassland surrounded by steep cliffs, the crater floor is easy for game officials to patrol and the result is abundant wildlife including rare species like black rhino and cheetah. Your camp enjoys a prime location by the Lemala Crater Access Route and you’ll descend quickly this morning for a spectacular game drive before other visitors have even arrived on the crater floor.

DAY 6: LEMALA EWANJAN TENTED CAMP, CENTRAL SERENGETI
Central Serengeti
Situated in the heart of Tanzania, the Central Serengeti encompasses the world-famous Seronera Valley which is known for its prime wildlife-viewing opportunities. This picture-perfect landscape is characterised by endless stretches of savannah-covered open plains, interspersed by rocky outcrops of granite, scattered with acacia woodlands and covered in a network of rivers and streams. The Central Serengeti forms part of the great wildebeest and zebra migration and provides an ideal habitat for a variety of wildlife such as giraffe, impala, waterbuck, hippo, elephant, buffalo, lion, leopard, hyena, jackal, serval and much more. Popular activities include: game viewing, cultural tours, horse riding safaris, and hot air ballooning over the spectacularly scenic terrain.

After breakfast depart at 0730hrs. Travelling this morning into the unique terrain of Olduvai Gorge, you’ll learn about the passions that drove Louis and Mary Leakey to their remarkable 1.8 million-year – old fossil discoveries. Continue your journey into the vast expanse of the Central Serengeti, unequaled for its beauty and the concentration of its wildlife – including Lion, Leopard, Elephant, Rhino and Cape buffalo. In addition to these Big 5 animals, so named not for their size but because safari hunters considered them to be the most difficult and dangerous to track, the Serengeti is home to numerous other herbivores and the fierce predators which are rarely far behind. Enjoy a game drive before relaxing with Sundowner cocktails and an elegant dinner at the exclusive Lemala Ewanjan.

Lemala Ewanjan is an authentic intimate tented camp set in a secluded part of the game-rich Seronera Valley in Central Serengeti and is reknowned for its year-round game viewing due to its abundance of water in the many rivers, as well as for its large populations of resident big cats.
We have carefully positioned Lemala Ewanjan right at the end of a blind valley, so you can enjoy uninterrupted views. The camp was replaced in July 2018 with brand new tents and now features 10 standard and 2 x 2 bedroom tents ideal for families, friends and groups travelling together. The en-suite tents are spacious and comfortable, and have an outside deck offering beautiful views over the area. Each tent is fitted with two queen-size beds with warm duvets, a flush toilet, large safari-style shower, plentiful running water, wooden storage cabinets and flooring, 24-hour solar lighting and outside loungers from which to enjoy early morning teas and coffees and refreshing afternoon gin and tonics.

DAY 7: LEMALA EWANJAN TENTED CAMP, CENTRAL SERENGETI
Day Itinerary
Opt for an extra early morning hot air balloon safari, pick up hotel lobby, 0500hrs, animals, too, have their regular routines and this morning’s hot air balloon safari in the sharp clear light of dawn is an amazing time to gaze down as the wildlife of the Serengeti greets another day. Touch back down for a champagne breakfast and a morning game drive. Back at camp, you’ll have ample time to relax and share your impressions of Africa with your fellow adventurers. A late afternoon safari drive promises more encounters with the wide variety of primates, birds, horned bovines, wild dogs, ungulates and big cats that roam the Serengeti.
Or embark on a 4×4 morning wildlife drive to track the animals that traversed the savannah during the night, view ungulates like Thomson’s and Grant’s gazelles, topi and eland antelopes as well as their stealthy predators at one of their most active times of the day, after lunch and leisure. DAY 8: LEMALA NDUTU MOBILE TENTED CAMP, NDUTU
Ndutu
Set in the Arusha Region, Ndutu is situated in the northern part of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area within the magnificent Serengeti. The surrounding landscapes are covered in sweeping grasslands which provide the perfect habitat for the migratory route for hundreds of thousands of wildebeest, antelope and zebra. Visitors can look forward to exploring the forest around Lake Ndutu, spotting an array of wildlife, and visiting the fascinating archaeological site at the Olduvai Gorge. Don’t miss the opportunity to jump on a game drive to view the spectacular herds of the annual Great Migration, enjoy a scenic hot air balloon ride over the plains and take a guided tour with the local Maasai and learn about culture and traditions. Other commonly spotted species include: leopard, lion, cheetah, caracal, serval, African wildcat, and a variety of prolific birdlife.

Enjoy a morning safari drive as we take you into another remote sector of the Serengeti and Ngorongoro area; Lemala Ndutu. With animals constantly on the move in their inexorable quest for food and water, your camp’s setting affords unmatched game viewing at any time of year. Set out on an afternoon game drive followed by cocktails and dinner.

Lemala Ndutu Tented Camp is in the Ndutu region of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area near the border of the Southern Serengeti. This area is classic savannah, characterized by flat grassy plains, and our camp is in one of the finest locations in Ndutu to see the migration between December and March. Tens of thousands of wildebeest, zebra and gazelle usually arrive in December to graze on the newly-watered, highly-nutritious short grass plains, and then by February, the main calving season takes place. Predators – especially the big cats – are highly concentrated in the Ndutu area in these months. With 9 tents, Lemala Ndutu is perched on the edge of a permanent marsh, and acts as the ultimate amphitheatre to capture the boundless drama that accompanies the migration
