DAY 1: GOVERNORS’ IL MORAN CAMP, MASAI MARA
Masai Mara
The Masai Mara together with Tanzania’s Serengeti form Africa’s most famous wildlife park, the Masai Mara National Reserve. The image of acacia trees dotting endless grass plains epitomises Africa for many, then add a Maasai warrior and some cattle to the picture and the conversation need go no further. The undeniable highlight of the Masai Mara is undoubtedly the annual wildebeest migration traversing the vast plains of the Serengeti and the Masai Mara.
It is known as the largest mass movement of land mammals on the planet – with more than a million animals following the rains. Large prides of lions, elephants, giraffes, gazelles and eland can also be spotted in the reserve. Aside from horse riding safaris and traditional vehicle safaris, hot-air ballooning over the Mara plains has become almost essential.
Day Itinerary
Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta airport ex your International flight early morning @0610hrs, clear with customs and immigration procedures.
You will then be met by our AMA Safaris representative outside the arrivals hall for transferred to Fairmont The Norfolk for your breakfast, you will then have an excursion to Giraffe Centre.
Later you will be dropped off at Wilson airport for your scheduled flight to Masai Mara. The flight departs at 1445hrs and arrives in Masai Mara at approximately 1540hrs.
Masai Mara National Reserve offers wonderful scenery and plenty of game. It is perhaps the only region left in Kenya where the visitor may see animals in the same super-abundance as existed a century ago.
Met on arrival by the camp’s driver guide and proceed to the camp for check-in and lunch. After lunch, enjoy an afternoon shared game drive until sunset.

Newly refurbished in 2018, Il Moran Camp is hidden in the cool shade of the riverine forest that follows the bends of the Mara River. Each tent enjoys a private location from which to enjoy the beautiful and serene setting. Hippos wallow in the river waters below, elephants wander through camp, and the night time is punctuated by hyena whoops and lion calls.
Each canvassed room is expansive and newly furnished to a superior standard. Beautiful old wood furniture and muted natural tones are a natural extension of the environment around. Each stylish bathroom boasts a Victorian style bath and his & her vanities. A large verandah is designed for relaxing in comfort in the peaceful surroundings.

After breakfast enjoy morning and afternoon game drives in the Mara reserve; The Masai Mara Game Reserve is approximately 1510km² of incredible wide-open landscapes and fertile riverine woodland following the looping meanders of the Mara and Talek rivers in Kenya. It is typical open savannah, with a mass of amazing wildlife, it hosts over 95 species of mammals and 570 recorded species of bird. All member of the “BIG FIVE “ ( Lion , Leopard , African elephant African buffalo and Black Rhinoceros ) are found in this reserve , other animals found in this reserves are Hippo’s , Nile Crocodiles , Hyenas , cheetahs, jackals, bat –eared foxes and a variety of antelopes.

Spend in Mara with morning & afternoon game drives or a full day game drive with picnic lunch.

During the first hours of the morning, the savannah is filled with a special animation. This is when the larger predators hunt for their food, before the temperature becomes too hot for any excessive physical activity. This is the time we have the highest chances of watching a hunt in action (also likely in the early evening). The colours of the landscape are also more accentuated, and help us to take great photographs.

DAY 5: THE Z HOTEL, NUNGWI , ZANZIBAR
Nungwi
Once little more than a ramshackle fishing village, Nungwi has been transformed into one of Unguja island’s busiest beach destinations and its second most populated village after its capital, Stone Town. Situated at the island’s northernmost tip, Nungwi is blessed with some of Zanzibar’s most idyllic swimming beaches as the water surrounding this section of the island is fairly deep and mostly unaffected by the change of tides.
The village is also renowned as a party hotspot with plenty of boisterous nightlife and a thriving social scene hosted by the village’s slew of hotels, bars, shops and restaurants.
Spend your days lazing on the spectacular beaches, floating in the idyllic turquoise waters or indulging in a massage. Then, as the sun sets, join the revellers as the town comes alive, cocktails flow freely and the beach bonfires begin to blaze. Daily itineraries tend to be gloriously simple: sunbathe, swim, party, and repeat!

After breakfast at the camp followed by check out. You will be transferred to Musiara airstrip for your flight to Nairobi departing at 1100hrs, arriving Nairobi at 1220hrs, you will connect your flight to Zanzibar departing at 1400hrs.
Upon arrival at Zanzibar International Airport at 1545hrs, you will then be met by our Zanzibar Representative outside the arrivals hall for transfer to your beach Hotel where you will spend your next 6 Nights.
