DAY 1: TAMARIND TREE HOTEL, NAIROBI

Nairobi

Situated in along the Nairobi River in beautiful Kenya, the capital of Nairobi is East Africa’s most cosmopolitan city. It serves as an excellent starting point for African safari trips around Kenya. Nairobi is Africa’s 4th largest city and is a vibrant and exciting place, and although it has developed a reputation which keeps tourist visits brief, there are some fascinating attractions: its cafe culture, unbridled nightlife, the National Museum, the Karen Blixen Museum and most notably just 20minutes from the city centre wild lions and buffalo roam in the world’s only urban game reserve. Make sure you pay a visit to the elephant orphanage operated by the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust.

Day Itinerary

Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International  airport ex International flight, clear with customs and immigration’s  formalities, exit the arrival terminal and met by our AMA Safaris guide/airport representative, after introductions, board your vehicle and transfer to your town hotel, overnight at Tamarind Tree Hotel- BB

DAY 2: BASECAMP MASAI MARA, MASAI MARA

Masai Mara

The Masai Mara together with Tanzania’s Serengeti form Africa’s most famous wildlife park, the Masai Mara National Reserve. The image of acacia trees dotting endless grass plains epitomises Africa for many, then add a Maasai warrior and some cattle to the picture and the conversation need go no further. The undeniable highlight of the Masai Mara is undoubtedly the annual wildebeest migration traversing the vast plains of the Serengeti and the Masai Mara. It is known as the largest mass movement of land mammals on the planet – with more than a million animals following the rains. Large prides of lions, elephants, giraffes, gazelles and eland can also be spotted in the reserve. Aside from horse riding safaris and traditional vehicle safaris, hot-air ballooning over the Mara plains has become almost essential.

Day Itinerary

After breakfast, pick up at 0800hrs and drive to Masai Mara, the reserve offers wonderful scenery and plenty of game. It is perhaps the only region left in Kenya where the visitor may see animals in the same super-abundance as existed a century ago. Arrive for check-in and lunch at your lodge , after lunch proceed for an afternoon game drive until sunset, dinner and overnight at Basecamp Explorer- LDBB

Overnight: Basecamp Masai Mara

DAY 3: BASECAMP MASAI MARA, MASAI MARA

Day Itinerary

After breakfast enjoy morning and afternoon game drives in the Mara reserve; The Masai Mara National Reserve is approximately 1510km² of incredible wide-open landscapes and fertile riverine woodland following the looping meanders of the Mara and Talek rivers in Kenya. it is typical open savannah, with a mass of amazing wildlife, It hosts over 95 species of mammals and 570 recorded species of bird. All member of the “BIG FIVE “ ( Lion , leopard , African elephant African buffalo and black Rhinoceros ) are found in this reserve , other animals found in this reserves are Hippo’s , Nile Crocodiles , Hyenas , cheetahs, jackals and bat –eared foxes . You will visit the Masai Village on this day.

DAY 4: SERENGETI SOPA LODGE, CENTRAL SERENGETI

Central Serengeti

Situated in the heart of Tanzania, the Central Serengeti encompasses the world-famous Seronera Valley which is known for its prime wildlife-viewing opportunities. This picture-perfect landscape is characterized by endless stretches of Savannah-covered open plains, interspersed by rocky outcrops of granite, scattered with acacia woodlands and covered in a network of rivers and streams. The Central Serengeti forms part of the great wildebeest and zebra migration and provides an ideal habitat for a variety of wildlife such as giraffe, impala, waterbuck, hippo, elephant, buffalo, lion, leopard, hyena, jackal, serval and much more. Popular activities include: game viewing, cultural tours, horse riding safaris, and hot air ballooning over the spectacularly scenic terrain.

Day Itinerary

After breakfast at your lodge, then drive to the border town of Isebania. You will clear with customs and immigration s then cross over to Kenya. Our vehicles will be waiting for you on the other side. After introductions with Tanzania guide, proceed to Serengeti National Park, Meals and overnight at Serengeti Sopa Lodge – LDBB

Overnight: Serengeti Sopa Lodge  

Offering arguably the best wildlife to be seen anywhere in Africa, the Serengeti National Park provides the perfect backdrop for the Serengeti Sopa Lodge.

Located in the Nyarboro Hills in the south-west of this world-famous park, the lodge has panoramic views over the savannah.  An almost constant southerly breeze keeps the temperature at a comfortable level.

DAY 6: RHINO LODGE, NGORONGORO CRATER

Ngorongoro Crater

Located in Northern Tanzania, the Ngorongoro Crater is best known for its natural beauty and abundance of diverse wildlife; which makes it one of Africa’s most popular safari destinations. Surrounded by Tanzania’s highlands, this UNESCO-listed crater is said to be the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera. Visitors can look forward to spotting the world-renowned Big Five and a host of other wildlife species including large herds of zebra and wildebeest. It is famed as one of Tanzania’s best tourist attractions offering visitors an array of wonderful activities including excellent bird watching, trekking, wildlife viewing, and mountain biking as well as visiting a local Maasai village. Don’t miss the opportunity to jump on an excursion to the magnificent Olduvai Gorge.

After breakfast, drive to the Ngorongoro, the largest intact caldera in the world. Its enduring charm stems from its overwhelming physical beauty and the abundance of wildlife permanently resident on the crater floor. Located within the Ngorongoro Cater Rim, Tanzania, Rhino Lodge is an excellent option for a nature vacation. The property features a selection of 24 comfortably furnished rooms which are equipped with bathrooms and wood-burning stoves. Breakfast is served daily, and guests can enjoy meals and drinks at the on-site dining room and bar.

DAY 7:  RHINO LODGE, NGORONGORO CRATER

Day Itinerary

After breakfast, leave with packed lunches and proceed to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area; the largest intact caldera in the world. Its enduring charm stems from its overwhelming physical beauty and the abundance of wildlife permanently resident on the crater floor.  Descend into the crater floor in your 4×4 vehicle for a crater tour. The central bowl, the caldera, has sides roughly 600m high and a flattish center with a diameter of about 10 miles. The crater walls are forested but four-wheel drive vehicles will take you down into this primeval paradise of woodland, lake, river, swamp and plain that shelters around 20,000 animals. Return to the lodge later in the afternoon.

DAY 8:  ESCARPMENT LUXURY LODGE, LAKE MANYARA NATIONAL PARK

Lake Manyara National Park

Situated in Tanzania’s central-northern region with the Lake Manyara on its east and the Manyara Escarpment to its west, the Lake Manyara National Park offers breathtaking views and a large variety of habitats supporting an array of wildlife. This small park is home to surprising biodiversity and features a magnificent landscape of acacia woodlands, water forests, baobab strewn cliffs, algae-streaked hot springs, swamps and the lake itself. The park supports 400 species of bird, and the largest concentration of baboons anywhere in the world. Other species include giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, impala, waterbuck, warthog, the Cape clawless otter, and Egyptian mongoose. Don’t miss the opportunity to see thousands of flamingos on the lake, the renowned tree-climbing lions, and large families of elephants strolling through the forest.

After Breakfast at your hotel and check out, you will depart and drive Lake Manyara National Park, which apart from its abundant bird life, is known for its tree-climbing lions. Have lunch and later enjoy game viewing in this park. Pwani Mchangani

Set on the Zanzibar Archipelago’s largest island, Unguja, Pwani Mchangani is a village known for its spectacular seaside location. It boasts traditional huts, tucked under coconut palms meeting azure waters. Visitors can look forward to snorkelling and diving through the offshore coral reefs, strolling along the uncrowded pristine white-sand beach, enjoy delicious cocktails at a rustic beachfront bar and soak up the sun while relaxing on a lounger. Don’t miss the opportunity to watch a spectacular sunset over the calm waters of the warm Indian Ocean and enjoy an array of thrilling water sports. Day Itinerary

After breakfast at the hotel followed by check out. You will then drive to Arusha, have an early lunch at Cultural Heritage then dropped off at Arusha airport to take a scheduled flight departing at 1245hrs to Zanzibar. On Arrival, you will be met by our Zanzibar representative. Thereafter you will be transferred to your beach hotel where you will spend the next 4 nights.
