DAY 1: EKA HOTEL, NAIROBI
Nairobi
Situated in along the Nairobi River in beautiful Kenya, the capital of Nairobi is East Africa’s most cosmopolitan city. It serves as an excellent starting point for African safari trips around Kenya. Nairobi is Africa’s 4th largest city and is a vibrant and exciting place, and although it has developed a reputation which keeps tourist visits brief, there are some fascinating attractions: its cafe culture, unbridled nightlife, the National Museum, the Karen Blixen Museum, Giraffe Centre and most notably just 20 minutes from the city centre wild lions and buffalo roam in the world’s only urban game reserve. Make sure you pay a visit to the Elephant orphanage operated by the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust.

Day Itinerary
After breakfast at Eka Hotel. Visit Daphne Sheldrick Elephant Sanctuary strictly open as from 11hrs00 to 12 hrs00. Whole of Nairobi is ours to explore! Perhaps we’ll visit Kenya’s foremost animal orphanage and conservation foundation, The David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust. For more than four decades Dame Daphne Sheldrick was a recognized authority on successfully raising infant elephant and rhinoceros orphans and re-integrating them into the wild. Watch the babies feed and play while learning about them from the late Dame Daphne’s staff.
Daphne Sheldrick is a world–class conservation figure and the premier authority on the successful raising of milk–dependent infant elephant and rhino orphans. Daphne Sheldrick’s Animal Orphanage can only be visited for an hour every day between 1100hrs and noon.
During this hour the baby elephants are brought out to play and to feed, and visitors can watch them from behind a rope. Wardens are on hand to explain the work of the orphanage and to answer any questions.
Private visit’s can be arranged with our guides at 1500hours for (1 to 4 Guests). The Private visit allows you to touch and feed the baby Elephants with formulated milk.

DAY 3: MASAI MARA SOPA LODGE, MASAI MARA
Masai Mara
The Masai Mara together with Tanzania’s Serengeti form Africa’s most famous wildlife park, the Masai Mara National Reserve. The image of acacia trees dotting endless grass plains epitomizes Africa for many, then add a Maasai warrior and some cattle to the picture and the conversation need go no further. The undeniable highlight of the Masai Mara is undoubtedly the annual wildebeest migration traversing the vast plains of the Serengeti and the Masai Mara. It is known as the largest mass movement of land mammals on the planet – with more than a million animals following the rains. Large prides of lions, elephants, giraffes, gazelles and eland can also be spotted in the reserve. Aside from horse riding safaris and traditional vehicle safaris, hot-air ballooning over the Mara plains has become almost essential.

After breakfast. Depart for Masai Mara driving through the picturesque floor of the Great Rift Valley to arrive in time for lunch at Mara Sopa Lodge. Late afternoon unlimited game drives in Masai Mara. Dinner and overnight at Mara Sopa Lodge.

Located on the slopes of Oloongams Hills, it is one of the first lodges to be built in the Masai Mara. Guests are drawn to this lodge built in an ethnic design, surrounded by a rich landscape, covered in fauna, from huge desert cacti to sweet smelling jasmine flowers, all within the fabled Masai Mara National Reserve.

DAY 5: LAKE NAKURU SOPA LODGE, LAKE NAKURU NATIONAL PARK
Lake Nakuru National Park
Located in the Great Rift Valley surrounded by yellow acacia woodlands and bushy scrublands, the Lake Nakuru National Park was created to protect the Lake and its large flocks of Lesser Flamingo, which are drawn to the algae that flourish in the saline waters of this soda lake. The national park is inhabited by over 50 mammal species including hippo, black and white rhino, Rothschild giraffe, buffalo and eland. Known as a bird watcher’s paradise, the park is home to over 450 bird species. Visitors can look forward to hiking through the scenic landscape, picnicking next to this magnificent lake, and spotting an array of wildlife on a game drive. Don’t miss the opportunity to visit the beautiful Makalia Waterfall.

Overnight: Lake Nakuru Sopa Lodge
Lake Nakuru Sopa lodge is located on a range of hills that form the western limits of Africa’s Great Rift Valley; the Lodge offers spectacular views over the vastness of Lake Nakuru and its surrounding National Park. The park supports a wide ecological diversity with Flamingos and other water birds being the major attraction of the area. The ecosystem provides for about 56 different species of mammals including the white and black rhino, buffaloes and others.
The Lodge is 20km from the park main gate and 15minutes drive from Naishi airstrip. Lodge accommodation consists of 60 rooms which include 2 inter-connecting rooms, 2 rooms accessible on wheel chair. Rooms are grouped into single, twin or triple rooms. All rooms have a clear view of the lake and you are able to view the sun rise from the balcony. All rooms have safe box, tea and coffee making facilities, mini bar is stocked on request and telephone extensions are also provided in all rooms.

DAY 6: AMBOSELI SOPA LODGE, AMBOSELI NATIONAL PARK
Amboseli National Park
Located in the southern reaches of Kenya, the Amboseli National Park is renowned for its excellent variety of wildlife such as Masaai giraffe, elephant, lion and cheetah and not surprisingly it is one of Kenya’s most popular parks. The landscape of Amboseli is dominated by the majestic snow cap of Mount Kilimanjaro, as well as open plains, acacia woodland, swamps and the massif of Ol Doinyo Orok. The birding is excellent, especially closer to the lakes and swamps. The park is famous for being the best place in Africa to get close to large herds of elephants among other wildlife species. Other attractions of the park include opportunities to meet the Maasai people and soak up spectacular views of Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest free-standing mountain in the world.

After breakfast. Drive to Amboseli National Park stopping at Nairobi for Lunch at Carnivore Restaurant thereafter proceed to Amboseli to arrive in time to check in for dinner and overnight at Amboseli Sopa Lodge.
Overnight: Amboseli Sopa Lodge
Nestled in 190 acres of wooded Masai land, the Lodge sits on the foothills of Africa’s highest mountain, Mount Kilimanjaro. Mature wooded gardens with a variety of trees and plants thrive in these surroundings. Different species of birds, monkeys and squirrels dart through the gardens. There are 83 rooms in total, some with interconnecting doors – ideal for families – and 24 rooms can be turned into triples on request. Two rooms are suitable for the physically challenged, and one room is a honeymoon suite. The rooms are constructed as individual huts, and they are all spacious, with en-suite bathrooms and verandahs. Local materials and colours are used for furnishings, maintaining the African theme. The totally private and spacious honeymoon suite has an ornamental fireplace and kitchenette. A spacious verandah surrounds the suite, ideal for viewing the mountain in its glory.

DAY 7: AMBOSELI SOPA LODGE, AMBOSELI NATIONAL PARK

Amboseli is an enormous volcanic plateau, almost totally eroded and dry, and is dominated by the majestic peaks of the eternally snow-capped Mount Kilimanjaro, with a height of almost 6000 metres above sea level, earning itself the name “The rooftop of Africa”.
Curiously, and somewhat due to the good filtration of the volcanic rocks, this arid landscape contains several marshes and swamps, whose waters attract an extensive assortment of wildlife: gazelles, impalas, gerenuks, zebras, wildebeest, buffalos and lions, among others, finding solace in this harsh country. However, the biggest attraction of the park is the elephants, ambling along in huge herds with the incomparable Mt. Kilimanjaro as a backdrop.

DAY 8: VOYAGER ZIWANI TENTED CAMP, TSAVO WEST NATIONAL PARK
Tsavo West National Park
Located in Kenya’s Coast Province, Tsavo West National Park stretches for over 9000 square kilometres and is one of Kenya’s most rewarding parks. Tsavo West is covered in fairly thick bush but has spectacular natural scenery which includes volcanic cones, swamps, rocky outcrops and lava flows, mountains, river forest, plains, lakes, natural springs and wooded grassland. Although the game is not as easy to spot as in Tsavo East, it’s all here. Natural attractions include: the Mzima Springs, the main source of water for the Tsavo River; the Chaimu Crater; and the Roaring Rocks, offering panoramic views. Visitors can soak up the dramatic scenery, stay at one of the many fine lodges and spot a variety of wildlife.

After breakfast. Depart for Tsavo West National Park to arrive in time for lunch at Voyager Ziwani Camp. Afternoon game drives in Tsavo West National Park. Dinner and overnight at Voyager Ziwani Tented Camp.

Situated in the shadow of majestic Mount Kilimanjaro, on the edge of one of Kenya’s least explored parks, Voyager Ziwani offers a uniquely personal and adventurous safari experience. Located on a 30,000-acre private farm on the western edge of Tsavo West National Park, Voyager Ziwani sits on the edge of a small, secluded dam on the Sante River. The camp’s environs are home to hundreds of basking hippos, while a short drive will deposit you among the big game of one of Kenya’s wildest and least explored national parks.

DAY 9: ASHNIL ARUBA LODGE, TSAVO EAST NATIONAL PARK
Tsavo East National Park
Separating northern and southern Kenya, Tsavo East National Park features bushy grasslands, open plains dotted with baobabs alternating with semi-arid acacia scrub and lush woodlands. The arid environment with its unique red earth creates spectacular photo opportunities. This park is home to some of the largest elephant and buffalo herds in Kenya. Tsavo East boasts a rich biodiversity and is said to be one of the last remaining wildernesses. Visitors can enjoy many wonderful attractions including: Galana River and Lugard’s Falls; the magnificent Yatta Plateau; and Mudanda Rock, a natural viewpoint which overlooks a much visited and photographed drinking hole. The south of the park is busier, while north of Galana is a remarkably quiet wilderness where visitors can enjoy this unspoiled beauty.

Ashnil Aruba Lodge lies in the heart of Tsavo East National Park in Kenya. Its location is superb, just a couple of hours from the coast of Mombasa, 5hrs leisurely drive from Nairobi and is located on the banks of Aruba Dam which was built in 1952 as a sport fishing recreational point in the park. Several watering holes nearby attract wildlife and spotting animals is easy because the park lies flat with savannah grassland.

DAY 10: SAROVA WHITESANDS BEACH RESORT & SPA, NORTH COAST
MOMBASA
Mombasa
Set on the spectacularly scenic coast of Kenya, Mombasa serves as both the name of the island and the city which inhabits it. Mombasa is the regional cultural, economic, and tourism centre of Kenya. The island is connected to the mainland by bridges for ease of access, and visitors can also hop on a ferry. It features East Africa’s largest cosmopolitan port, which has a rich heritage as a historical trading centre. The Old Town boasts magnificent well-preserved Arabic architecture, vibrant markets, and winding alleyways all permeated with the scent of local spices. Visitors can explore the 16th – century Fort Jesus, which stands watch over the harbour; and visit the beautiful coral reefs and white – sand beaches lapped by the warm waters of the Indian Ocean.
