DAY 1:  CROWNE PLAZA NAIROBI, NAIROBI       

Nairobi

Situated in along the Nairobi River in beautiful Kenya, the capital of Nairobi is East Africa’s most cosmopolitan city. It serves as an excellent starting point for African safari trips around Kenya. Nairobi is Africa’s 4th largest city and is a vibrant and exciting place, and although it has developed a reputation which keeps tourist visits brief, there are some fascinating attractions: its cafe culture, unbridled nightlife, the National Museum, the Karen Blixen Museum, Giraffe Centre and most notably just 20 minutes from the city centre wild lions and buffalo roam in the world’s only urban game reserve. Make sure you pay a visit to the Elephant orphanage operated by the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust.

On arrival at Jomo Kenyatta international airport, you will be met by AMA Safaris driver guide for your transfer to Crowne Plaza Upperhill. Dinner on own arrangement.

DAY 2: ANDBEYOND KICHWA TEMBO TENTED CAMP, MARA NORTH CONSERVANCY    

Mara North Conservancy

Situated in southwest Kenya, the Mara North Conservancy is a beautiful private wilderness area spanning more than 30 000 hectares. It is home to a spectacular array of plants, reptiles, birds and mammals; including elephant, rhino, buffalo, lion, leopard, cheetah and large concentrations of wildebeest, zebra, gazelle and other migratory wildlife. Leopard Gorge, in the heart of the conservancy, is famous as the setting of countless BBC Big Cat Diaries and National Geographic documentaries. Neighbouring the well-known Maasai Mara National Reserve, this conservancy is vital for sustaining the famous Serengeti wildebeest migrations as well as the highly threatened African wild dog and black rhino.

After breakfast you will check out and transferred to the Wilson Airport for your flight to Masai Mara,

On arrival you will be met by the camp vehicle and the driver guide, for transfer to the camp. Lunch with an afternoon game in a shared camp vehicle.

andBeyond Kichwa Tembo Tented Camp is situated in the Kichwa Tembo private concession, which neighbours the Masai Mara National Reserve. In addition to the excellent year-round concentration of wildlife, Kichwa Tembo lies directly in the path of Africa’s spectacular Great Migration. The camp boasts 12 classic tents, 20 superior tents and 8 superior view tents. While all the tents look out onto the open grasslands or the shady forest surrounding the Saparingo River, the superior view tents boast exceptionally beautiful, uninterrupted views of the Masai Mara.The generously sized swimming pool is set among the trees and surrounded by lush lawns and spectacular views. DAY 5: LEMALA EWANJAN TENTED CAMP, CENTRAL SERENGETI       

Central Serengeti

Situated in the heart of Tanzania, the Central Serengeti encompasses the world-famous Seronera Valley which is known for its prime wildlife-viewing opportunities. This picture-perfect landscape is characterized by endless stretches of savannah-covered open plains, interspersed by rocky outcrops of granite, scattered with acacia woodlands and covered in a network of rivers and streams. The Central Serengeti forms part of the great wildebeest and zebra migration and provides an ideal habitat for a variety of wildlife such as giraffe, impala, waterbuck, hippo, elephant, buffalo, lion, leopard, hyena, jackal, serval and much more. Popular activities include: game viewing, cultural tours, horse riding safaris, and hot air ballooning over the spectacularly scenic terrain.

Day Itinerary

Breakfast at your camp. Check out and depart with picnic lunch boxes to the airstrip for your flight to Serengeti National Park via Migori / Tarime boarder for immigration clearance.

On arrival at Serengeti National park you will be met by the camp representative and vehicle and transferred to the camp with game drive en route. Rest of the afternoon at leisure.

Overnight: Lemala Ewanjan Tented Camp

Lemala Ewanjan is an authentic intimate tented camp, set in a secluded part of the game-rich Seronera Valley in Central Serengeti. This area is reknowned for its year-round game viewing due to its abundance of water in the many rivers, as well as for its large populations of resident big cats.

We have carefully positioned Lemala Ewanjan right at the end of a blind valley, so you can enjoy uninterrupted views. The camp was replaced in July 2018 with brand new tents and now features 10 standard rooms and 2 x 2 bedroom tents ideal for families, friends and groups travelling together.

The en-suite tents are spacious and comfortable, and have an outside deck offering beautiful views over the area. Each tent is fitted with two queen-size beds with warm duvets, a flush toilet, large safari-style shower, plentiful running water, wooden storage cabinets and flooring, 24-hour solar lighting and outside loungers from which to enjoy early morning teas and coffees or refreshing afternoon gin and tonics.

All game drives, morning and afternoon game drives in a shared camp vehicle. You will also enjoy a sundowners’ cocktail while in Serengeti National Park.

DAY 7: KITELA LODGE, KARATU

Karatu

Travellers heading for the Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater will inevitably pass through the town of Karatu in the green hills of Tanzania’s northern highlands. Presided over by the towering Ol Deani Volcano, this small, colourful town serves as a popular overnight stop for visitors exploring the area’s many game parks. The town offers a variety of activities including browsing the bustling marketplace, sampling beer at a local brewery, visiting a traditional Iraqw homestead, or taking a guided walk through the Ngorongoro Forest in search of waterfalls and elephants caves. After breakfast you will be transferred to the airstrip for your flight to Lake Manyara Airstrip, on arrival you will be met by our driver guide & vehicle for a transfer to your lodge, arrive for lunch and check in. Afternoon game drives in Lake Manyara National Park. Dinner and overnight at the Lodge.

DAY 9:  PARK HYATT ZANZIBAR, STONE TOWN

Stone Town

Situated on the beautiful island of Zanzibar, Stone Town is the old city and cultural heart of the island and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The town is famous for its winding alleys fringed by grand architecture, bustling bazaars, sultan’s palace, mosques, the House of Wonders, gardens and the extravagant merchants’ houses with their remarkably ornate doors. Stone Town is home to over fifty mosques, six Hindu Temples, a Catholic and an Anglican Cathedral. Visitors can also look forward to visiting the Old Fort along the waterfront; pay a visit to the Palace Museum, and sampling local cuisine at Forodhani Gardens a local seaside market.
