Situated in southwestern Rwanda, the Nyungwe Forest National Park is known for its exceptional biodiversity and its wide range of endemic species. The park is composed of lush tracts of rainforest set high up on fertile mountain slopes.
It is one of Africa’s most ancient forests and the home of Rwanda’s sole remaining chimpanzee population, as well as 85 additional mammal species, 43 reptile species, nearly 300 bird species and over 1000 plant species.
Visitors can enjoy spotting colobus monkeys and chimpanzees hiding in the trees, hiking on a well-maintained network of trails passing through lush equatorial rainforest and catching a glimpse of a beautiful array of colourful birdlife. Don’t miss the thrilling Canopy Walk, it is one of its kind in Africa and offers impressive views of the forest.
Day Itinerary
On arrival at Kigali International airport, you will be met by a our Rwandan driver guide and you will be transferred to Nyungwe Forest National park for a check – in at Nyungwe Top Hill View lodge.
Nyungwe Top view hill hotel is the elegant place; a heaven on earth, idyllically situated on top of one of the hills of Nyungwe forest area; the largest single forest block in East Africa and the biggest water reservoir for Rwanda. Nyungwe Top view hill hotel offers most beautiful and tranquil accommodation facility comprises of 12 self contained with 4 twin and 8 queen size bed apartments having a sitting room with a fire place to warm you up and a balcony with picturesque view of sunrise or sunset from all the rooms including incomparable view of part of the Nyungwe National Park, Kahuzi Biega National Park, Tea plantations, Lake Kivu, the volcanoes and Idjwi Island right from the top of the hill. Day Itinerary
Early rise at 0430hrs, you will be taken to the park to trek Chimpanzee tracking, please note that while it is possible to track and see chimpanzees here it is considered a difficult track with a 50-50 chance of seeing them. Return to the lodge and in the afternoon you will be taken for a canopy walk – an amazing adventure!

Bordering the Democratic Republic of Congo in Rwanda, the Volcanoes National Park is best known as a sanctuary for the World’s rare Mountain Gorillas. Visitors flock here to experience a face to face encounter with these intriguing creatures. The park is set high on the jungle-covered slopes of the volcanic Virunga Mountains. Highly regulated treks through the reserve allow visitors to spend an hour at a time with these incredible primates in their natural habitat. While the Gorilla’s are without a doubt the main draw card, visitors can also look forward to exploring a network of scenic hiking trails, visiting the tomb of the world-famous Dian Fossey and the Karisoke Research Centre, and enjoying a beautiful day hike to the Crater Lake on Mount Bisoke.

After breakfast, pick up and you will be transferred to Ruhengeri for a check-in at Five Volcanoes Boutique hotel
Five Volcanoes Boutique Hotel in Musanze (Ruhengeri) located on the road going to Kinigi is the perfect starting point to go for different activities that the Volcanoes National Park is offering but also gives you lot of opportunities to rest and to enjoy the relaxing atmosphere of the lodge. With 13 bedrooms (double/twin), a VIP cottage, a restaurant, a pool, a traditional sauna and a steam sauna awaits, the staff looks forward to make your stay a pleasant one.

Day Itinerary
After an early breakfast, you will be picked up by your driver guide and taken to the park headquarters for briefing and you will be allocated a porter who will assist with carrying your lunch box and water.
You will then start the First amazing Gorilla tracking experience, on meeting the gorillas; you will spend an hour with them before trekking back to the base where your guide will be waiting to transfer you to the lodge.
After lunch, you will be taken on a community visit.

Day Itinerary

You will then start your Second Gorilla tracking experience, on meeting the gorillas, you will spend an hour with them before trekking back to the base where your guide will be waiting to transfer you to the lodge for a quick freshen up and you will now depart for Kigali.
On arrival at Kigali city your safari now ends with transfer to Kigali International airport on time for your return home International flight.
