DAY 1: THE SAROVA STANLEY, NAIROBI
Nairobi
Situated in along the Nairobi River in beautiful Kenya, the capital of Nairobi is East Africa’s most cosmopolitan city. It serves as an excellent starting point for African safari trips around Kenya. Nairobi is Africa’s 4th largest city and is a vibrant and exciting place, and although it has developed a reputation which keeps tourist visits brief, there are some fascinating attractions: its cafe culture, unbridled nightlife, the National Museum, the Karen Blixen Museum,Giraffe Centre and most notably just 20 minutes from the city centre wild lions and buffalo roam in the world’s only urban game reserve. Make sure you pay a visit to the Elephant orphanage operated by the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust.
Day Itinerary
Arrive into Jomo Kenyatta International Airport ex TBA arriving at TBA hours, clear with immigration department and be met by our AMA Safaris representative and transferred to your city hotel on bed and breakfast.
Nairobi city begun in 1899, and grew as a central point for the Kenya – Uganda Railway. Nairobi comes from the Masai word, “Enkare Nyrobi” meaning the “place of cool water”. It’s now a bustling city with a lot to offer for visitors, overnight at your hotel on Bed and Breakfast.
Overnight: The Sarova Stanley

DAY 2: AMBOSELI SERENA SAFARI LODGE, AMBOSELI NATIONAL PARK
Amboseli National Park
Located in the southern reaches of Kenya, the Amboseli National Park is renowned for its excellent variety of wildlife such as Masaai giraffe, elephant, lion and cheetah and not surprisingly it is one of Kenya’s most popular parks. The landscape of Amboseli is dominated by the majestic snow cap of Mount Kilimanjaro, as well as open plains, acacia woodland, swamps and the massif of Ol Doinyo Orok. The birding is excellent, especially closer to the lakes and swamps. The park is famous for being the best place in Africa to get close to large herds of elephants among other wildlife species. Other attractions of the park include opportunities to meet the Maasai people and soak up spectacular views of Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest free-standing mountain in the world.
Day Itinerary
This morning we depart Nairobi and drive through the scenic Athi Plains and into the bush country of Amboseli National Park, home to the legendary Maasai tribesmen and famous for huge herds of Elephant. A spectacular game run en-route is planned. Following a delicious lunch we set off for another spectacular afternoon game drive until sunset. Amboseli is big game country: Lion, Cheetah antelope, Zebra, Wildebeest, buffalo and giraffe are abundant. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.
Overnight: Amboseli Serena Safari Lodge
Amboseli Serena Safari Lodge is located near Mount Kilimanjaro in the heart of Kenya’s Amboseli National Park. The lodge offers 92 rooms which feature complimentary Wi-Fi, 24-hour room service and a private balcony. Hotel facilities include a swimming pool and sundeck, a gift shop, spacious interior bar with terrace, a campfire bar and bush BBQ area. DAY 3: AMBOSELI SERENA SAFARI LODGE, AMBOSELI NATIONAL PARK
Day Itinerary
Today you have an option of choosing between a full day safari game drive where after breakfast you leave your safari camp /lodge with packed lunch and enjoy a full day safari game drive in Amboseli. You will also have a change to visit the Observation Hill where you will have panoramic views over the whole of Amboseli- with an Optional visit to a Masai Village, then return to your lodge/ camp in the evening for dinner and overnight at the lodge.

DAY 4: SAROVA LION HILL GAME LODGE, LAKE NAKURU NATIONAL PARK
Lake Nakuru National Park
Located in the Great Rift Valley surrounded by yellow acacia woodlands and bushy shrublands, the Lake Nakuru National Park was created to protect the Lake and its large flocks of Lesser Flamingo, which are drawn to the algae that flourish in the saline waters of this soda lake. The national park is inhabited by over 50 mammal species including hippo, black and white rhino, Rothschild giraffe, buffalo and eland. Known as a bird watcher’s paradise, the park is home to over 450 bird species. Visitors can look forward to hiking through the scenic landscape, picnicking next to this magnificent lake, and spotting an array of wildlife on a game drive. Don’t miss the opportunity to visit the beautiful Makalia Waterfall.
Day Itinerary
Enjoy an early morning breakfast at your camp then depart Amboseli National Park for Lake Nakuru National Park, arriving in time for lunch. Enjoy some sumptuous lunch and relax before the afternoon game drive. Later afternoon during our game drive, we are likely to see a variety of birds on the lake and different types of wildlife including the white Rhino and black rhino, cheetah, lion, leopard etc. Dinner and Overnight at the lodge.
Overnight: Sarova Lion Hill Game Lodge
Sarova Lion Hill Game Lodge is nestled along the Lion Hill overlooking the spectacular flamingo pink rimmed Lake Nakuru. Its location affords panoramic views of the lake and the picturesque Lake Nakuru National Park. A short two-hour drive from Nairobi, Sarova Lion Hill Game Lodge is a favourite with residents and visitors to Kenya.
Sarova Lion Hill Game Lodge is cleverly laid out in such a way that most rooms and sitting areas afford stunning views of the lake and the park. The Lodge incorporates natural landscaping with tall acacia trees, winding walkways and greens dotted with bird feeds. Lake Nakuru National Park was created in 1968 to protect the huge flocks of over of the lesser flamingo that breed and nest at the edge of Lake Nakuru, giving it the characteristic pink rim. Lake Nakuru National Park, located at an altitude of 4,000-5,767 feet above sea level, covers 188 square kilometres of land of great ecological diversity – from lake water, woodland, bush grassland, to rocky ridges. The park is home to not just the lesser flamingo but over 400 species of birds and one of the few places to see the endangered white rhino. Other wildlife at the park includes lions, leopards, zebra, gazelles, eland, giraffe and the hyrax.

DAY 5: MARA SERENA SAFARI LODGE, MARA TRIANGLE
Masai Mara
The Masai Mara together with Tanzania’s Serengeti form Africa’s most famous wildlife park, the Masai Mara National Reserve. The image of acacia trees dotting endless grass plains epitomises Africa for many, then add a Maasai warrior and some cattle to the picture and the conversation need go no further. The undeniable highlight of the Masai Mara is undoubtedly the annual wildebeest migration traversing the vast plains of the Serengeti and the Masai Mara. It is known as the largest mass movement of land mammals on the planet – with more than a million animals following the rains. Large prides of lions, elephants, giraffes, gazelles and eland can also be spotted in the reserve. Aside from horse riding safaris and traditional vehicle safaris, hot-air ballooning over the Mara plains has become almost essential.
Day Itinerary
Enjoy and early morning breakfast then we drive through the dramatic Great Rift Valley to the Masai Mara. This enormous reserve is actually part of the vast Serengeti plains famously known for its spectacular great wildebeest’s migration and is home of the Big Five: Lion, Elephant, Leopard, Buffalo and Rhino. Lunch at the Lodge and relax before departing for the afternoon game run. The Masai mara – one of the greatest wildernesses of the world. Large mammals are varied, and easy to see.
Dinner and overnight at the Mara Serena Safari Lodge
Secreted deep within the Masai Mara by arcing vistas and washed by a sea of richly rolling grasslands, it stands centre-stage to one of Africa’s most dramatic wildlife arenas and has a ringside seat for the greatest wildlife show on Earth, the legendary migration of the wildebeest. Drawing its inspiration from the traditional Maasai cultural motif of a cluster of domed, mud-colored huts encircled by a “Boma” of brushwood, the Mara Serena offers a rare blend of raw African splendour and sumptuous sophistication. The essentially ethnic décor also draws on a vibrant colour-palette of sun-burst colours, embellished by a unique selection of Maasai art to create the look and feel of a traditional bush encampment. The lodge features individual rooms, each with their own balcony and view of eternity, a sky-blue swimming pool and a spectacular restaurant, overlooking a water hole where a fantasia of creatures collect to drink.

DAY 6: MARA SERENA SAFARI LODGE, MARA TRIANGLE
Departure: 0630hrs. (Coffee/ tea at 0615hrs.)
Breakfast: 0900hrs.
During the first hours of the morning, the savannah is filled with a special animation. This is when the larger predators hunt for their food, before the temperature becomes too hot for any excessive physical activity. This is the time we have the highest chances of watching a hunt in action (also likely in the early evening). The colours of the landscape are also more accentuated, and help us to take great photographs.

DAY 7: END OF ITINERARY
After breakfast, this morning, we depart and leave behind the legendary African savannah, seen so many times in films and documentaries; the endless extensions of grassland gives way to bushland, and slowly, to the rich green vegetation around Nairobi.
Rest of day free. Lunch on own arrangement, Transfer to the International Airport for your international departure flight back home
