Situated in along the Nairobi River in beautiful Kenya, the capital of Nairobi is East Africa’s most cosmopolitan city. It serves as an excellent starting point for African safari trips around Kenya. Nairobi is Africa’s 4th largest city and is a vibrant and exciting place, and although it has developed a reputation which keeps tourist visits brief, there are some fascinating attractions: its cafe culture, unbridled nightlife, the National Museum, the Karen Blixen Museum,Giraffe Centre and most notably just 20 minutes from the city centre wild lions and buffalo roam in the world’s only urban game reserve. Make sure you pay a visit to the Elephant orphanage operated by the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust.

Day Itinerary

Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you will clear with customs and immigration procedures. You will then be met by a AMA Safaris Representative outside the arrivals hall for transfer to your hotel. Overnight at the Ibis Styles Hotel – BB

Many international companies have their headquarters in Westlands making Ibis Styles Nairobi Westlands ideal for business travellers. Leisure guests can enjoy shopping within walking distance at Sarit Centre and Westgate Malls. Wildlife and nature lovers can do a day visit to the National Park, David Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage, Giraffe centre and Karen Blixen Museum where Out of Africa was filmed. Westlands is well known for its great night life, Electric Avenue is 5 mins away and full of international bars and casinos.

Olare Motorogi Conservancy

The Olare Motorogi Conservancy is an 85kms expanse of prime private wilderness in southwest Kenya which forms part of the Maasai Mara-Serengeti ecosystem and wildlife dispersal zone. The conservancy lies immediately to the northwest of the main Maasai Mara National Reserve. Tourism is limited to a maximum of 94 beds which maximizes the client wilderness experience and minimizes the environmental impact of tourism. Open hills provide a habitat for a diverse range of grazers, including giraffes, zebras, hartebeests, and warthogs. These herds attract large numbers of predators, including lions, cheetahs, hyenas, and jackals. In between the hills run a number of small seasonal streams, fringed by stretches of forest which are home to a broader range of species including baboons, elephants, buffaloes, hippos, and leopards.

Day Itinerary

After breakfast, you will be picked up at 0700hrs and start your drive to Masai Mara, the reserve offers wonderful scenery and plenty of game. It is perhaps the only region left in Kenya where the visitor may see animals in the same super-abundance as existed a century ago. Arrive for check-in and lunch at your lodge , after lunch proceed for an afternoon game drive until sunset, dinner and overnight at Loyk Mara Luxury Camp – LDBB

Loyk Mara Luxury Camp is exclusively located in Olare Motorogi Conservancy on the boarder of Ntiakitiak River. The Camp has been settled down on 50 acres of private land where you are surrounded by nothing else but exceptional and stunning scenery and a panoramic background view of wildlife.

The Camp has 16 fabulously superior en-suite rooms that captures the essence of the modernized African design, culture and tradition in combination with a stylish and exclusive atmosphere, excellent food and personalized services. We accommodate business and leisure travelers and make sure their stay with us is memorable.

For fly in Clients we use Ole kiombo Airstrip 20 km from the camp and take 30 minutes drive with the game drives to the camp. For drive in from Nairobi Its between 5 – 6 hours drive with stopovers.

DAY 3: LOYK MARA LUXURY CAMP, OLARE MOTOROGI CONSERVANCY

After breakfast enjoy morning and afternoon game drives in the Mara reserve; The Masai Mara is approximately 1510km² of incredible wide-open landscapes and fertile riverine woodland following the looping meanders of the Mara and Talek rivers in Kenya. it is typical open savannah, with a mass of amazing wildlife, It hosts over 95 species of mammals and 570 recorded species of bird.

All member of the “BIG FIVE “ ( Lion , leopard , African elephant African buffalo and black Rhinoceros ) are found in this reserve , other animals found in this reserves are Hippo’s , Nile Crocodiles , Hyenas , Cheetahs, Jackals and Bat – eared foxes.

DAY 4: LOYK MARA LUXURY CAMP, OLARE MOTOROGI CONSERVANCY

Day Itinerary

{Early morning optional balloon ride with champagne-style breakfast at an extra cost. At extra cost of US$450.00}

The early morning calm air of the Maasai Mara has made possible the introduction of Hot Air Balloon flights, available as an optional tour of a hot air balloon ride to see the park from a bird’s eye view, from leading lodges and camps in the reserve.

(Please reserve early to avoid disappointment for this adventure!). OR Pre-breakfast morning game drive in the reserve, a great opportunity to explore the vast flora and fauna of this magnificent reserve.  After a rewarding game drive, return to your lodge for late morning breakfast. Lunch and late afternoon Game viewing drive.

OPTION: A full day game drive with picnic lunch boxes (full day game drive including visits to Mara River, Kenya Tanzania Border Post and a great chance to view the “Big Five”. You will have picnic lunch at Hippo Pool or on the savannah. Return to your lodge late in the afternoon). Later just relax or visit the nearby Maasai village as an optional excursion.

Famous for its gorgeous palm trees and its powder white sand lapped by glistening azure waters, Diani Beach is a popular resort area resting on Kenya’s magnificent Indian Ocean shoreline. The area’s wonderfully warm waters and exquisite coral reefs provide an ideal environment for an array of exhilarating water-based activities including snorkeling, scuba diving and boat safaris where you can witness the richly diverse marine life for which the southern coast of Kenya is known.

You’re likely to see turtles, mantas, barracuda and, if you are lucky, even the elusive and exceptionally large whale shark. Don’t miss: the Colobus Conservation which provides a sanctuary for these fascinating endangered primates; the Shimba Hills National Reserve which offers an exceptional and unforgettable safari experience; and the nearby Kisite Marine National Park close to the Tanzanian border.

Please note; 

  • Non A/C Vehicles are used for transfers in cities and on safari in Kenya
  • Luggage limit of one soft bag per person during travel in Kenya. Hard cases should be avoided as they cannot fit in safari vehicles.
  • Baggage allowance for domestic flights is 15 kgs per person including hand luggage. Soft-sided luggage or duffel are preferable to hard luggage for storage on safari vehicles and aircrafts used within East Africa. Large suitcases of dimensions greater than 24″x 17″x 7″ are impossible to store in vehicles and on aircraft and should not be used. (Baggage and personal effects are at owner’s risk throughout the tour and baggage insurance for members is strongly advised).
  • The rate includes accommodation based on the hotels and lodges mentioned in the program using standard rooms. Please be advised that the maximum singles the lodges can give is 4. The rest are charged as doubles.
  • Intermediate stops during flying on domestic flights: Internal flights are designed to serve a complex network throughout East Africa. Please keep in mind that unless otherwise stated flights are not guaranteed to be direct to the destination as there may be intermediate stops to collect or drop off other passengers.
  • Stops on request: Means our ability to stop in an airfield of the customer’s choice. However for operational reasons only a limited number of stops are possible. We request you to enquire in advance.
  • Rainy season: Flights are suspended during the long rains (mid March – end May) for exact dates please contact us.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Contract variations

The contractual costs mentioned above in this agreement are subject to change without prior notice; however, every effort will be made to maintain them. In the event of a change in Government Taxes or Levies affecting the rates mentioned herein, AMA SAFARIS LTD has the right to pass on any increases to our Partners or Clients.

Payment Policy

A deposit of 35% is required at the time of booking. The balance  of 65% is due 45 days before commencement of the tour program. If the reservation is made within 45 days of departure the whole amount must be paid at the time of confirmation.

Children Policy:

Children between the age of 3 and 12 years

  • Pays 60% of the adult rate if sharing a room with two adults
  • Pays 80% of the adult rate if sharing a room with another children
  • Pays 100% of the adult rates if sharing a room with one adult
  • No discount on Holiday and other supplements

Cancellation Policy

All cancellations must be received in writing. As all suppliers charge cancellation fees, they are in turn passed on to us.

Reservations that are cancelled, reduced in length of stay or reduced in number of occupancy are subject to cancellation and no-show fees. Following is the scale for cancellation charges:

  • 35% if cancelled between 45 and 35 days prior to arrival
  • 50% if cancelled between 34 and 15 days prior to arrival.
  • 100% if cancelled 14 days and 24 hours prior to arrival

Itinerary Changes:

Although every effort is made to adhere to schedules, it should be noted that the hoteliers in East Africa may be obliged to occasionally change routes on safaris as dictated by changing conditions.

Such conditions may be brought about by seasonal rainfall on bush tracks, airfields and in game areas, by game migrations from one region to another, or airline or other booking problems, etc. AMA SAFARIS LTD will communicate with you for such tour itinerary/tour program or accommodation changes
