DAY 1: HEMINGWAYS NAIROBI, NAIROBI
Nairobi
Situated in along the Nairobi River in beautiful Kenya, the capital of Nairobi is East Africa’s most cosmopolitan city. It serves as an excellent starting point for African safari trips around Kenya. Nairobi is Africa’s 4th largest city and is a vibrant and exciting place, and although it has developed a reputation which keeps tourist visits brief, there are some fascinating attractions: its cafe culture, unbridled nightlife, the National Museum, the Karen Blixen Museum, Giraffe Centre and most notably just 20 minutes from the city centre wild lions and buffalo roam in the world’s only urban game reserve. Make sure you pay a visit to the elephant orphanage operated by the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust.

DAY 2: ANDBEYOND KICHWA TEMBO CAMP, MARA NORTH CONSERVANCY
Mara North Conservancy
Situated in southwest Kenya, the Mara North Conservancy is a beautiful private wilderness area spanning more than 30 000hectares. It is home to a spectacular array of plants, reptiles, birds and mammals; including elephant, rhino, buffalo, lion, leopard, cheetah and large concentrations of wildebeest, zebra, gazelle and other migratory wildlife. Leopard Gorge, in the heart of the conservancy, is famous as the setting of countless BBC Big Cat Diaries and National Geographic documentaries. Neighbouring the well-known Maasai Mara Game Reserve, this conservancy is vital for sustaining the famous Serengeti wildebeest migrations as well as the highly threatened African wild dog and black rhino.

andBeyond Kichwa Tembo Tented Camp is situated in the Kichwa Tembo private concession, which neighbours the Masai Mara National Reserve. In addition to the excellent year-round concentration of wildlife, Kichwa Tembo lies directly in the path of Africa’s spectacular Great Migration.
The camp boasts 12 classic tents, 20 superior tents and 8 superior view tents. While all the tents look out onto the open grasslands or the shady forest surrounding the Saparingo River, the superior view tents boast exceptionally beautiful, uninterrupted views of the Masai Mara.
The generously sized swimming pool is set among the trees and surrounded by lush lawns and spectacular views. Opening up onto incredible Masai Mara views, the guest areas feature a double-story bar and lounge area with oversized windows offering spectacular panoramas. DAY 4: LEMALA KURIA HILLS LODGE, NORTHERN SERENGETI
Northern Serengeti
The vast, rolling savannah of the Northern Serengeti is known as the hub of the great migration. The landscape is characterised by vast stretches of savannah interspersed with acacia trees and riverine woodlands. Wildlife can be seen along the banks of the Mara River and visitors can view the annual spectacle of the half a million migrating wildebeest. Commonly spotted wildlife include: a multitude of plains game such as buffalo, zebra, gazelles, impala, giraffe as well as lion and leopard. Visitors can look forward to bird watching, hot air ballooning, game safaris and guided bush walks.
Day Itinerary
Breakfast at the Camp, depart with picnic lunches to the Airstrip and fly to Northern Serengeti.
Met upon arrival at Kogatende airstrip by Lemala Kuria Hills Lodge, transfer to the lodge for check in for Lunch Afternoon game drive on shared basis vehicle. Dinner and overnight at Lemala Kuria Hills Lodge.

Lemala Kuria Hills Lodge is remotely located in the Wogakurya Hills of the Northern Serengeti. A scenic region characterised by grassy rolling hills, open woodland and tree-lined watercourses, it is a habitat that attracts wildlife throughout the year. Lemala Kuria Hills is in close proximity to the Mara River on the Serengeti’s border with Kenya’s Maasai Mara, so is also within the main corridor of the world-famous wildebeest migration between July and October.

DAY 7: NEPTUNE NGORONGORO LODGE, KARATU
Karatu
Travellers heading for the Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater will inevitably pass through the town of Karatu in the green hills of Tanzania’s northern highlands. Presided over by the towering Ol Deani Volcano, this small, colourful town serves as a popular overnight stop for visitors exploring the area’s many game parks.
The town offers a variety of activities including browsing the bustling marketplace, sampling beer at a local brewery, visiting a traditional Iraqw homestead, or taking a guided walk through the Ngorongoro Forest in search of waterfalls and elephants caves.
Whether you are looking for cultural tours, hiking and biking opportunities, a chance to enjoy an authentic rural Tanzania experience, or simply a break between safari game drives, this underrated town has plenty to offer.
