DAY 1: FOUR POINTS BY SHERATON ARUSHA THE ARUSHA HOTEL,   

Arusha

Resting at the foot of Mount Meru, the sprawling city of Arusha is known as the safari capital of northern Tanzania. It serves as an excellent base from which to explore the remarkably scenic surrounding area which includes majestic Mount Kilimanjaro, as well as the Manyara, Tarangire and Ngorongoro National Parks. Arusha is a good spot to take a day or two off from the safari circuit as it features a temperate climate and lush surrounds. Visitors can look forward to exploring the wildlife-abundant Serengeti National Park; the magnificent Arusha National Park; and taking on the challenge of climbing Mount Meru, Africa’s fifth highest mountain.

Day Itinerary

A warm welcome awaits you upon arrival into Kilimanjaro International Airport at TBA meet and greet by our Tanzanian representative and after a short briefing transferred to your Arusha hotel where you are booked on Bed & breakfast basis. Overnight at Four Points by Sheraton Hotel – BB

DAY 2: KIRURUMU MANYARA LODGE, LAKE MANYARA NATIONAL PARK

Lake Manyara National Park

Situated in Tanzania’s central-northern region with the Lake Manyara on its east and the Manyara Escarpment to its west, the Lake Manyara National Park offers breathtaking views and a large variety of habitats supporting an array of wildlife. This small park is home to surprising biodiversity and features a magnificent landscape of acacia woodlands, water forests, baobab strewn cliffs, algae-streaked hot springs, swamps and the lake itself. The park supports 400 species of bird, and the largest concentration of baboons anywhere in the world. Other species include giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, impala, waterbuck, warthog, the Cape clawless otter, and Egyptian mongoose. Don’t miss the opportunity to see thousands of flamingos on the lake, the renowned tree-climbing lions, and large families of elephants strolling through the forest.

Day Itinerary

After breakfast pick up and drive to Lake Manyara. Arrive at your lodge in good time for lunch. Afternoon proceed for a game drive till sun set with dinner and overnight at Kirurumu Manyara Lodge – FB

Kirurumu Manyara Lodge is set high on the edge of the Great Rift Valley, enjoying a marvellous, uplifting and panoramic view eastward over Lake Manyara, the Rift floor and Mt. Losimingori. Behind Kirurumu, the Ngorongoro Highlands rise in green and fertile splendour and form the gateway to Ngorongoro Crater and Olduvai Gorge, the Serengeti.

Manyara Lodge offers 27 tented rooms, 2 honeymoon suites, 2 family cottages, fully en suite bathrooms, hot and cold running water, electricity, bar complete with sun-deck and panoramic views of the rift valley and dining room with waiter service. The lodge offers activities including Maasai guided ethno botanical walks, mountain biking available on request, half-day treks / hikes and fly camping in forests on special request.

DAY 3: SERENGETI KATI KATI TENTED CAMP, CENTRAL SERENGETI       

Central Serengeti

Situated in the heart of Tanzania, the Central Serengeti encompasses the world-famous Seronera Valley which is known for its prime wildlife-viewing opportunities. This picture-perfect landscape is characterised by endless stretches of savannah-covered open plains, interspersed by rocky outcrops of granite, scattered with acacia woodlands and covered in a network of rivers and streams. The Central Serengeti forms part of the great wildebeest and zebra migration and provides an ideal habitat for a variety of wildlife such as giraffe, impala, waterbuck, hippo, elephant, buffalo, lion, leopard, hyena, jackal, serval and much more. Popular activities include: game viewing, cultural tours, horse riding safaris, and hot air ballooning over the spectacularly scenic terrain.

Day Itinerary

Early breakfast and thereafter depart for Serengeti National Park.  Enjoy a game drive en-route to your lodge to arrive in good time for lunch. In the evening proceed for a game drive with dinner and overnight at Serengeti Katikati Tented Lodge – FB

Overnight: Serengeti Kati Kati Tented Camp          

The camp offers comfortable accommodation and a unique opportunity to enjoy a real safari camp experience. The camp is only a two hour scenic drive from Olduvai Gorge Museum and Grumeti River. A cosy tent isolated in the centre of the camp where meals are served. The campfire is ready every evening for appetizers and snacks before dinner. Ten double tents and one family tent with en suite facilities. There are several airstrips in the National Park that receive schedule flights from Arusha as well as charter flights.

DAY 6: NGORONGORO SOPA LODGE, NGORONGORO CRATER   

Ngorongoro Crater

Located in Northern Tanzania, the Ngorongoro Crater is best known for its natural beauty and abundance of diverse wildlife; which makes it one of Africa’s most popular safari destinations.

Surrounded by Tanzania’s highlands, this UNESCO-listed crater is said to be the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera. Visitors can look forward to spotting the world-renowned Big Five and a host of other wildlife species including large herds of zebra and wildebeest.

It is famed as one of Tanzania’s best tourist attractions offering visitors an array of wonderful activities including excellent bird watching, trekking, wildlife viewing, and mountain biking and visiting a local Maasai village. Don’t miss the opportunity to jump on an excursion to the magnificent Olduvai Gorge.

Day Itinerary

After breakfast check out and depart for a morning game drive in Serengeti and exit the park for Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Arrive at your lodge in time for lunch & spend the rest of the afternoon at leisure. Dinner and overnight at Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge – FB

Overnight: Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge

Perched on the edge of the Ngorongoro Crater, the magnificent Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge is the only property on the eastern rim of this World Heritage Site.  Accommodating 186 guests in its 97 spacious en-suite bedrooms, the Lodge has its own private road to the crater floor.  The Lodge is perfectly situated to explore the abundant game in what is often referred to as the “Eighth Wonder of the World”.  Its location offers awe-inspiring views over the crater and some of the most breathtaking sunsets to be seen in Tanzania.

Each suite has a private lounge with mini-bar, en-suite bathroom, central heating and a private solarium.  The Lodge has telephone facilities, satellite TV, a conference room, and a swimming pool situated on the very edge of the rim.

DAY 7: NGORONGORO SOPA LODGE, NGORONGORO CRATER   

Day Itinerary

Early rise followed by breakfast and depart with picnic lunch boxes for a Full day tour of the crater floor.  In the evening return to your lodge for a relaxed.

DAY 8: TARANGIRE SOPA LODGE, TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK       

Tarangire National Park

Located just a few hours drive from the town of Arusha, Tarangire is a popular stop for safaris travelling through the northern circuit on their way to Ngorongoro and the Serengeti.

The park extends into two game controlled areas and the wildlife is allowed to move freely throughout. After the Serengeti, Tarangire has the greatest concentration of wildlife in Tanzania and in the dry season the Tarangire River is a magnet for thirsty wildlife.

Large herds of elephants and migratory wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, impala, gazelle, hartebeest and eland gather and not surprisingly the predators follow. This is also the one place in Tanzania where dry-country antelope such as oryx and gerenuk are regularly spotted.

Tarangire is also known for its spectacular baobab trees and its breathtaking views of the Masaai Steppe and the mountains to the south.

Day Itinerary

A relaxed rise followed by breakfast. Check out and depart for Tarangire National Park, lunch at your lodge. In the afternoon depart for a game drive till sun set.  Dinner and overnight at Tarangire Sopa Lodge – LDBB

Overnight: Tarangire Sopa Lodge    

Hidden among the kopjes, lies Tarangire Sopa Lodge, surrounded by ancient baobab trees and home of the greatest concentration of elephants in Africa a alongside other game including the elusive leopard. Over 400 bird species can be spotted here as well. With water constantly available in the area, the greenery is lush providing a wonderful contrast to the burnt ground.

DAY 9: END OF ITINERARY       

Day Itinerary

After breakfast depart for a morning game drive, and thereafter depart for Arusha. Lunch at a local restaurant and do a last minute shopping. Later on transferred to the Kilimanjaro International Airport in good time for your flight back home ***End of Services***
